Racial profiling?
December 10, 2008
The minority population is growing in the U.S. We don’t all look alike, come from the same backgrounds, cultures, or beliefs. America has been labeled as the “melting pot”. There are so many different races and ethnic backgrounds that make up the U.S. There are many different shades and hues of beauty that surround us each day. These differences create an opportunity for marketers to appeal to consumers through the use of diversity. Because we don’t all look alike, in order to reach certain audiences it is important to demonstrate the use and promotion of diversity companywide. These days most websites offer at least 2 languages: English & Spanish, due to the growing Hispanic population. Many companies are using models and actors of different ethnicites to market to different ethnic groups.By seeing people that look like you, it
allows a connection to be made.

i agree that while marketing to different cultures and races can be a good thing for both the consumer and company, but when companies use stereotypes or other myths to promote their product, that aint cool!
